Flexible Flat Cable

Our Flexible Flat Cable are characterized by a flat and flexible structure, which enables space-saving internal wiring in electronic devices. Lightweight and extremely thin, they provide reliable signal transmission and are particularly suitable for applications where space constraints and flexibility are important. The low-profile design minimizes signal crosstalk and electrical interference, which can lead to improved signal integrity. The flexural fatigue strength of FFC is very high at small bending radii.

General information

  • Physical Properties: FFCs are flat, thin and flexible. They consist of insulated conductor tracks that are embedded between two flexible plastic layers. This design allows for easy bending and adjustment to various shapes. The bending fatigue strength of FFC is very high at small bending radii compared to round cables.
  • Intended use: FFCs are often used in electronic devices to create connections between different components. They are particularly useful in applications where space and weight are a concern as they require less space compared to traditional round cables.
  • Applications: FFCs are used in a variety of devices including computers, printers, cameras, cell phones, flat panel televisions and other electronic devices. They are also used in the automotive industry for applications such as airbag sensors and on-board computer connections.
  • Advantages: The flat design enables easy integration into space-critical environments. The flexibility of the cable allows it to be bent in different directions without compromising signal integrity.

Flat Cable CO - pitch 2,54 mm

CO stands for crimpoptimized!

The conductor dimensions of the cables marked “crimoptimized” have been optimized to meet the requirements for processing with crimp connectors (AMP-MODU, or MQS).

Flat Cable CO black - pitch 2,54 mm

CO stands for crimpoptimized!

Black for applications where a black cable is an advantage. The flat cables are manufactured with the same precision as their standard counterpart. From one side, the flat cable is completely black and visually almost disappears on dark surfaces. The cables can be seen from the other side, allowing precise positioning, for example for processing with crimp contacts.

Busbar – pitch 2,54 mm

Flat cable laminated on one side + self-adhesive

This flat cable with a pitch of 2.54 mm has been laminated on one side and is self-adhesive. When laid statically, the flat cables can be applied to any surface using double-sided adhesive tape. In the “self-adhesive” version, the flat cable is already delivered with double-sided adhesive tape on the underside.

Busbar – pitch 3,8 mm

Flat cable laminated on one side + optionally self-adhesive

By eliminating the upper insulating film, the cables can be contacted at any point on the flat cable. Various forms of spring contacts can be used for contacting.

Flat Cable nanoMQS – pitch 1,8 mm

Pitch of 1,8 mm

The grid and dimensions of these flat cables are specifically tailored to processing with crimp contacts and housings of the Nano-MQS contact system. The contacting of the crimp contacts can be optimized in combination with window technology.

Busbars

Busbars are metallic conductor rails that are used in electrical systems to transmit electricity from one point to another. They are made of copper and are often found in electrical distribution boards, switchgear and transformer stations. They are characterized by the fact that low voltage can be fed in and tapped everywhere.

LED connection cable

LED connection cable: LED-CONN is an extremely thin cable. The flat cable consists of laminated copper conductors. This product was developed primarily for the optimal installation and supply of LED installations. There are no limits to the length and cable routing through narrow passages and in LED profiles.
